Parish Mission Statement
Jesus Christ said to St. Philip the Apostle,
"Come follow Me."
As members of the parish community of St. Philip's, we seek to live as disciples of the Lord by living our faith through service to others.
Based on a strong faith, a guided hope and a well rooted love, we encourage all to walk that journey with Christ with humility and courage.
GUYS & DOLLS
Guys and Dolls is an organization for those fifty years of age or older, who enjoy socializing with their peers. The club provides a chance to meet with friends and acquaintances or to make new friends and acquaintances on the first Monday of each month from September through June at 1:00 p.m. in Saint Philip’s gym. The organization is not limited to St. Philip’s parishioners. We welcome any who wish to participate.
Meetings consist of varied types of entertainment for thirty to forty-five minutes, followed by a brief business meeting and concluding with a delicious refreshment. Members pay $5.00 per year in dues and $1.00 per meeting to cover the costs of entertainment and refreshments.
Guys and Dolls has a very active travel committee which plans approximately 20 trips per year. These trips include non- casino as well as casino day trips. Overnight as well as multiple day trips are also available.
Guys and Dolls collect food items which are distributed to a food bank.
December and June meetings are catered dinners which members pay for if they choose to attend. Our membership is over 300 people and average around 175 people at the monthly meetings. We welcome any and all who wish to participate!
