The Knights of Columbus is one of the oldest Catholic Fraternal organizations founded in the United States.

The Knights’ motto is “In Service to One, In Service to All.” The Knights organization was started by Fr. Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, CT. In 1882, Fr. McGivney started the Knights to help aid families in need of financial and spiritual help during a time when loss of a family’s livelihood meant breaking up the family. His cause for Sainthood is being considered by the Vatican.

The Knights Insurance Co. is one of the most respected highest rated insurance companies today.

The St. Philip the Apostle Council #17028 was chartered in May of 2018 and is based at St. Philip the Apostle in Millersville, PA.

Community Outreach During COVID-19:

As we all know, many people in Lancaster & Millersville are in need of food during these hard times. The Loft Food Bank in Millersville needs as much as $30 a week to supply approximately 150 families with food including a gallon of milk, eggs, bread, etc. The need is obviously growing in the community. St. Philip the Apostle Knights of Columbus Council 17028 is donating some money to the food bank, but we are asking for your help also. If you can afford to donate monetarily, please make checks payable to: St. Philip the Apostle KofC Council 17028 and send them to Andy DiPace (address below). The council will then send one check for the total amount donated to The Loft Food Bank. In the memo line, please put “Food Bank Donation”. Any amount that you can give will help out the people in need in our community. God bless you all, and thank you for your generosity!

Mail checks to:
