Parish Mission Statement

Jesus Christ said to St. Philip the Apostle,

"Come follow Me.

As members of the parish community of St. Philip's, we seek to live as disciples of the Lord by living our faith through service to others.

Based on a strong faith, a guided hope and a well rooted love, we encourage all to walk that journey with Christ with humility and courage.

Mercy Committee

The Mercy Committee performs Corporal Works of Mercy by providing a funeral luncheons for the families and friends of deceased members of the parish. They coordinate the menu, prepare the food, set the tables and lovingly serve their guests with great respect.

The Mercy Committee is headed up by Louise Brown. With support from the committee members, they mobilize their efforts and, with a few phone calls for baked goods needed for dessert, they provide the meal for grieving families. If you would like to learn more about this ministry or are in need of the service, please contact the parish office at 717-872-2166 or Louise at 717-284-4588.
