Parish Council is an advisory board for the Pastor as outlined by the Diocese of Harrisburg. Council members hear news surrounding parish projects – physical, social or religious – and open the floor to questions and discussions. On all matters that require a recommendation from Council to the Pastor, an attempt is made to reach a consensus among Council members, or by a minimum two-thirds majority vote.

Council members are elected for a 3 year team. One third of the membership is elected each year. A member may serve an additional term but not more than two consecutive terms. A member having served two terms may reapply after a one year absence from council. The Pastor and Parish Manager are ex-officio members. An elected officer may serve two consecutive terms in that office.

We currently do not have an operational Parish Council. If you are interested in re-starting this committee, please call the Parish Office.
